Basic Guides to Spiritual Growth
DOES GOD HAVE A GAME PLAN FOR MY
LIFE?
If youre involved in sports, you know
that every successful athlete or team has a game plan. Often, the team that best sticks to
its game plan will win the sporting event, even when the opponents may possess better
athletic ability. If you have a personal relationship with God, this same principle can
apply to your life as a Christian. God has a game plan and He intends you to be a vital
part of it.
1. GOD'S GAME PLAN
What a coach talks to his team about just before the "big game" is very
important. He doesnt discuss things that dont really matter at that point.
Instead, a good coach discusses the game plan, gives clear directions and encourages the
players. Similarly, in the critical moments before Jesus left His disciples to go to
heaven, He talked about Gods game plan to save people from their sins and how the
disciples were to be involved in reaching the goal. In His final moments with them,
Jesus covered some very important instructions and encouraged them to go out and
"win"! Lets look at what He told them.
Read Matthew 28:18-20.
